Politics is everywhere. Even the air that we breathe had been a subject of politics.
I grew up in a place where politics was the reason why some kids grew up without a father, where development remained nothing but a dream, where people left the community itself mainly for the reason of self-preservation.
It is not that I do not wish to succeed or that I do not wish to serve others. No! Truth is I want those, everyone wants those. However, I let others shine even with myself merely at the background because I believe it is not necessary to be a grandstander and to boast about your achievements to the world.
True, I wanna reach my dreams, but I do not want to step on the rights of others especially if done intentionally, in my journey towards the same. I do not require the attention of the greater many whenever I have fulfilled something. Yet, I do appreciate recognition of my efforts too.
This is the reason I have avoided politics in the usual meaning of the word; wherein one needs to campaign for him to be able to lead the group, be it a small one or a populous one. I am aware of my capabilities of being a leader but you can consider me as one who's more in action/s rather than in words .
Ordinary as one may seem to the rest, we can all be leaders in our own little way. We can begin by asking ourselves this simple question "I am my own leader, so what have I done for the world today?"
